Domingos has 26 years of experience and has held various roles, including field extensionist, team supervisor, Director of Agriculture, Provincial Supervisor of Agricultural Extension, and Extension Supervisor. Domingos has also worked with NGOs as a Program Officer and Project Coordinator. His expertise span managing activities from planning and prioritising to implementation, monitoring, reporting on progress (including budgeting), and coordinating with institutions and private stakeholders.
Our Challenge
Uncontrolled animal movement is one of the biggest challenges in communal rangelands. Livestock that is not kraaled and herded properly results in:
- Rangeland degradation
- Predation
- Disease transmission through contact with wildlife
- Poor herd health (high mortality and morbidity)
- Poor production
- Stock theft
- Tourism conflict
- Poor market and trade confidence
